LME aluminium opened at US$2,134 per tonne last Friday, with its low and high at US$2,127 per tonne and US$2,151 per tonne respectively before closing at US$2,141 per tonne, up US$11 per tonne or 0.52 per cent.
On Thursday, July 13, the LME aluminium cash bid price and LME official settlement price stopped at US$2,235.50 per tonne and US$2,236 per tonne, with the former rising by 4.15 per cent or US$89 per tonne and the later escalating by US$88.50 per tonne or 4.12 per cent.
If we consider the LME aluminium spot price on July 13, last year, it was US$2,343 per tonne, which has fallen by US$107 per tonne or 4.6 per cent Year-on-Year to rest at what it was yesterday.
The 3-month bid price went up the graph by US$92 per tonne or 4.2 per cent to close at US$2,277 per tonne, and the 3-month offer price stood at US$2,279 per tonne, with a US$93 per tonne or 4.25 per cent increase.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price both augmented by US$82 per tonne or 3.5 per cent to officially settle at US$2,422 per tonne and US$2,427 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock surged by 0.76 per cent or 4,000 tonnes, officially closing at 532,100 tonnes from 528,100 tonnes recorded the day before.
Live warrants marked 280,775 tonnes, with a massive spike of 7,825 tonnes or 2.87 per cent. Cancelled warrants stood at 251,325 tonnes, going down by 3,825 tonnes or 1.5 per cent.
The 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$2,240.40 per tonne, rising by US$66.61 per tonne or 3.06 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on July 14, Friday, the SHFE aluminium spot price has anchored at US$2,611 per tonne, with a US$34 per tonne or 1.32 per cent influx. If compared with last year’s July 14, when the aluminium spot price was US$2,587 per tonne, it can be said that US$24 per tonne or 0.93 per cent growth can be seen on a Year-on-Year basis.
The most-traded SHFE 2308 aluminium contract opened at RMB 17,880 per tonne last Friday’s night session, with its low and high at RMB 17,850 per tonne and RMB 17,950 per tonne before closing at RMB 17,940 per tonne. It rose by RMB 95 per tonne or 0.53 per cent.
