On November 16, the Shanghai Metals Market registered depleting aluminium prices all over China, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price losing RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 18,930 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 18,910 per tonne and RMB 18,950 per tonne.
If we consider the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price on November 16, last year, we can find a Year-on-Year escalation of RMB 80 per tonne or 0.42 per cent from RMB 18,850 per tonne marked that day.
China’s central provinces all witnessed falling aluminium prices, with the rate lowering the most in Chongqing by RMB 90 per tonne to close at RMB 18,910 per tonne. In Shenyang, too, a similar price was recorded with a slump of RMB 40 per tonne from the previous day. In Wuxi, the aluminium price dropped by RMB 60 per tonne to accumulate at RMB 18,920 per tonne, followed by RMB 50 per tonne slump in Gongyi and Hangzhou, where the prices rested at RMB 18,810 per tonne and RMB 18,930 per tonne, respectively. The aluminium prices in Tianjin and Linyi dived down by RMB 40 per tonne to officially close at RMB 18,960 per tonne each. Lastly, in Foshan, the aluminium price shed RMB 20 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,050 per tonne.
The low-carbon aluminium price in China has negated RMB 4 per tonne, settling down at RMB 19,812 per tonne.
The price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and the price of high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both decreased by RMB 100 per tonne, closing at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne, respectively.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) have contracted by RMB 50 per tonne, officiating at RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 19,850 per tonne.
